Freelance Writer “Carl the Collector” PBS KIDS/Spiffy Pictures (2023-present) PBS Kids first animated show featuring characters on the autism spectrum. It’s funny with heart!

Senior Writer MOXIE (Embodied, Inc.) (2022). Wrote conversational dialogue, stories, and jokes for kids social emotional robot companion Moxie, 2022’s most-awarded AI product for the home. Worked with game designers and NLP team to create more organic, conversational flow between scripted and AI generated (GPT3-assisted) content.

Consultant, Writer MIKO 3 (2021-2022) Conversation design and scripts for educational and activity modules for kids AI social robot. Focused on creating a seamless UX experience bridging third party modules and in-house scripted content; consulted on content and language suitable content for U.S. consumers. Also wrote UI copy for parent control app and on bot UI settings.

Creator, Writer, Producer Bansho (2021) “NINA’S NEW YORK CITY” of series of one-minute live-action/animation hybrid videos covering unique features of New York City. Licensed to Bansho educational video app, also available on YouTube kids.

Podcast Co-Creator, Writer, Executive Producer Pinna (2018-2020) “MONEY ON THE SIDEWALK” Two seasons (20 episodes) of funny kid-on-the-street game show podcast series for 9 to 12 year-olds. Developed series format, wrote trivia questions (based in school curriculum and pop culture) and silly stunts, directed field recordings and studio VO, edited audio, and led creative direction from content to casting to sound design. Podcast Co-Creator, Writer, Music Composer, Executive Producer Pinna (2018-2019) “THE FURRYTONES” Two seasons (20 episodes) of preschool musical comedy podcast series about a band of rockin’ foxes who play music for animal parties. Winner of a Parent’s Choice Foundation Award. Co-developed series, wrote storylines and scripts, composed and produced 20 original songs, and was involved in all creative decision-making from casting to sound design.

Freelance Writer Discovery Channel (2010) “CASH CAB” Nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award as writer on game show that surprises unwitting riders in real New York City cabs with trivia questions and cash prizes.

Freelance Writer Cartoon Network (2010) “MAD” Emmy-nominated animated sketch comedy show based on the classic humor magazine, airing on Adult Swim programming block.

Freelance writer The Designists (2006-2008) Scripts for kids projects for creative agency, including on-air promos for Nickelodeon and Noggin, commercials for Nick Jr. Arcade and NeoPets, and family travel videos for Go City Kids.

Staff Writer Nickelodeon (2003-2004) “TEENICK SPINS THE BOTTLE” Wraparound show with celebrity guest hosts performing stunts and games with live audience. Wrote host scripts for celebs including David Spade, George Lopez, Jennifer Garner, others.

Head Writer, On-Air promos Nickelodeon (1999-2001) Wrote, assigned, and edited :15 and :30 tune-in spots for daily shows and special programming stunts.

Staff Writer PBS “WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO?” (1992-1996) Peabody-Award winning PBS kids geography game show. Wrote over 30 songs performed by house band Rockapella, as well as all kinds of sketch comedy-based geography questions. Pretty much the best first job out of college you could ask for.
